Christmas Markets!

Updated: Dec 18, 2020

Hi pals,

How are you doing? Are you feeling Christmassy yet? Mlsea had it's first in-person market last weekend, and we're super excited for our next one tomorrow.

Everything seems to be a little earlier this year for Christmas. I was writing my Christmas plan in August. I had signed up for my first virtual Christmas market by September, and I think I started chatting to you guys over on Instagram about it in October!

So, I was meant to have my first Christmas Market at Estate of the Arts in November, but because of the lockdown it was postponed. That didn't stop us! Instead, I took it virtual, and set up in my dining room! I was able to show off my jewels remotely on Instagram (click here to watch the live with EOTA).

I also decided to give you guys a treat! As I had been so busy making jewels to take with me, when we got the news about lockdown, I had enough stock for a Christmas Market! But nowhere to go. I decided to set my own one up! the mlsea Christmas Market! Online, I've uploaded all the one-off jewels that I had planned to take with me to the in-person markets. My jewellery is usually made to order, having some one-offs that were ready to be shipped, meant you guys could (and you still can!) buy from the mlsea Christmas Market and you'll get next day shipping!

Check it out, and if you're in the UK, you still have time before Christmas.

To make sure you get your delivery before Christmas, order before 15th December (that's only 4 days away!) If you're ordering from the Christmas Market section, you have until the 20th (and we'll send it next day tracked)!

As November passed, and the whole month spent with all my fingers and toes crossed, we were able to come out of lockdown, for what was set to be the weirdest run up to Christmas yet. How is it already the 11th?!

I had so much fun on Saturday. It was so incredible to see so many people out and about, and supporting small and local businesses in the run-up to Christmas. It was the first time I got to help you guys try on your rings, and the first time you were able to feel the amazingly silky polymer clay trinket dishes!

With exactly two weeks til Christmas, having in person markets are fantastic! A great way to support local business, to buy presents from indie makers, it's a no-brainer!

We attended the Future Leap Christmas Pop-up markets on 12 - 13 December 2020, and we had so much fun! My stall was placed right next to the incredible SLM Illustrations. It was perfect that I was placed next to the only other Ocean themed stall holder. I had actually met Scott last year when I went to the Shark Fest in Bristol. We became friends from there, and so it was such al lovely and pleasant surprise to be hanging out at my second ever Christmas Market!

However, with the run-up to Christmas, I had planned to go home to spend time with my family. With a vulnerable family member, I decided to cancel the other Christmas Markets I had. But, I've left the dates up in case you are seeing this and wanted to check out all the other incredible stall holders over the weekend!*

I've decided to move my market online! So check it out here! Inspired by Bristol Market, I have been working tirelessly for the last two days to get all my jewels online, so that you can buy here and, Bristol, I can hand deliver!

Bristol - If you order before Sunday - we will hand deliver on (or before) Tuesday, to make sure all your mlsea needs are covered by Christmas!

I decided to also open this up for Enfield too! As I am going home for Christmas, if any Londoners wanted to order with guaranteed delivery Before Christmas, I will be hand-delivering your jewels on the 23rd December on my way home!

I hope you are all staying safe (and staying fun!) I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has placed an order with me this year and has supported me with kind words and encouragement. I have had so much fun in a very un-fun year.

Hope you're all staying safe and I can't wait to see you all in the new year.

Lots of love, and Christmas cheer,

Mayen xx
